Eduardos career started from very humble beginnings - born in Tangiers Morocco to Andalucian parents in 1955, the 7th of 11 children and magically the 7th son of the 7th child. In 1960, after political tensions, the family became refugees and settled in Catalua Spain where Eduardo grew up. At 18 he formed the cult symphonic rock band Atila, whose albums are now serious collectors items, and was rated alongside Paco de Lucia as one of the top guitarists in the Hispanic Peninsula. In 1975 he moved to Paris where he took part in several exhibitions of conceptual art with the painter Jaume Xifra. In 1978 he reached London, initially as a stepping stone to fly to America, but never left and has since been regarded as one of the outstanding guitarists of his generation. ...more details

How to get your gig added to the Gig Guide

At present gigs are added to the calendar by a small team of volunteers and friends of Jazz Yorkshire.

We will endeavour to get your gigs added as soon as we can but it is recommended to send them over as early as you can as it might take a few weeks to get them into the guide.

It helps if you can include website links for the artist and promoter as this helps people when they want to find out more about your gig.

It will also be quicker if you can send a Word or RTF document with the details rather than just sending a printed flyer

new feature - residencies

The Gig Guide now includes pub and club gigs which take place on a weekly basis. If you organise or know of a pub gig which should be added please let us know.
